Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) It's light and medium sized as far as mice go. Bigger than the Razer Naga definitely, but still not huge so if you have medium-large hands then you might feel as though it could still be bigger. Still, it's comfortable to use, and it feels sturdy and well constructed. We've been using it here for a few weeks and it's worked perfectly with no issues.
The optical sensor uses a visible red LED rather than an invisible laser. The lens assembly is recessed which seems to help avoid the problem that many mice have where tiny fibers get stuck to the lens or the edge of the label surrounding the sensor and the optics lock on that and the mouse pointer stops working. That has not happened with this one.
There are numerous buttons which are easily mapped to whatever functions you like in game. For WoW, the integration is done very well making it easy to assign functions to buttons while in-game.
If you're looking for a mouse with a few more buttons than average, and especially for WoW, then this is an option I think you will be quite happy with.
Update: While the mouse continues to work perfectly with WoW, we have been unable to get it to work acceptably with other games. This was most annoying with the Star Wars: The Old Republic beta test weekend over Thanksgiving, where we were unable to find any way to use the extra buttons on the mouse with the game. Apparently the mouse driver does not intercept the type of input that SWTOR is using. You can use the top two buttons on the left side as MOUSE4 and MOUSE5, but you can't even reassign which buttons on the mouse have these functions as far as we could tell. I would verify that this mouse will work with your desired games before purchasing it.
UpdateUpdate (12/30): A workaround has been discovered to get the mouse working completely in SWTOR. The problem turned out to be that SWTOR runs with admin privileges and so the non-privileged mouse driver does not have permission to feed keystrokes to it. If you open up the folder containing the Steelseries mouse software, there will be three executables (WoWMGUI, WoWMHID, WoWMTray). Right click each one and select properties and in the compatibility tab set them all to run as administrator. Then reboot the computer. When you reboot you will get prompted for permission to run the driver as administrator. Now you can set up a mouse profile for SWTOR using the out-of-game Steeelseries mouse configurator. Set it to disable in-game mode (checkbox) and then you can configure each button with a NO DELAY macro that sends, say, CTRL+SHIFT+1 for the first button, CTRL+SHIFT+2 for the second button and so forth. Then you can simply bind the buttons to functions in the game by just clicking the appropriate button when setting up the key binds.
